Josef Meier's

Josef Meiers was launched in 2008 and is the original challenger brand in the UK Krauter Liqueur Category. it has developed a strong consumer following over the years and its listed with some of the UK’s largest retailers. Josef Meiers is produced at one of the oldest distilleries in Germany. The distillery was established in 1853 and has the commercial register number 7, making it one of the oldest companies in Germany. A secret blend of herbs, spices, woods and roots are macerated in percolation tanks for weeks, the liquids are then distilled into individual liqueurs and then blended together to create the finished product.

Josef Meiers was a 19th Century innkeeper named in Bavarian folklore and the proprietor of The Goats Head, an Inn set amongst the black forests in the Bayerischer Wald, Southern Germany. Said to be one of the original distillers of Krauter Liquor using a secret recipe of herbs only found in surrounding land.
